Graphic Designer

Mission:

Job Duties:

  • Develop creative ideas and concepts, in partnership with the Spark team.
  • Interpret client briefs and communicate with team for clarification.
  • Understand clients' products and/or services, their target audience and competitors' in order to design creative and strategic communication solutions.
  • Stay up to date on popular design culture and trends.
  • Present ideas to Spark team and clients.

Marketing Coordinator

Mission:

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Spark team to promote and enhance Spark’s social media messaging as well as contribute to the development of client projects alongside the Project Coordinator. The incumbent will monitor the impact of Spark campaigns and social posts, and provide the team with information that can be used to improve our services and drive sales.

Job Duties:

  • Work with the Multimedia Writer and Graphic Designer to create engaging text, image, and video content that is consistent across all social media channels.
  • Work with the Project Coordinator on client scope documents, proposals and executing.
  • Marketing initiatives.
  • Measure Spark and client web traffic, reviews, feedback, and monitor SEO.
  • Stay up-to-date on all social platforms to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement.

  • Work with the Creative Director to research and develop new ways to promote the Spark.

  • Work with the Creative Director to define and understand Spark’s target audience.

Multimedia Writer

Misson:

The Multimedia Writer must be adaptable and able to create content for any type of media while collaborating with other creative Spark peers.

Job Duties:

  • Produces clear, persuasive and original content.
  • Headlines and body copy (websites, social media, newsletters, etc.)
  • Video scripts.
  • Training material.
  • Creative planning documents.
  • Develops creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the designers and video production team.
  • Interpret client briefs and communicate with team for clarification.
  • Understand clients' products and/or services, their target audience and competitors' in order to design creative and strategic communication solutions.
  • Stay up to date on popular design culture and trends.
  • Present ideas to Spark team and clients.
  • Conduct research, organize information, and produce appropriate content.
  • Plan content, review story ideas by other writers, check facts, offer suggestions for changes and oversee production.

Office Administrator

Mission:

To support management, primarily, on developing initiatives that allow students at Spark to enhance their organizational behaviour, reach their short-term professional goals, and feel more confident when they go to the marketplace. Also, to co-assist on conducting daily administrative and financial routines.

Job Duties:

  • Manage team meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate team-building events.

  • Manage schedules - student class time and performance reviews
  • Issues and releases the monthly newsletter.
  • Contribute to further development of Sparks HR practices
  • Assist in procurement of supplies and inventory.
  • Assist with financial tracking; budgeting, billing, and timesheet processing.
  • Assist Project Coordinator on processing client contracts
  • Contribute to content creation for Spark and client initiatives

Project Coordinator

Mission:

To act as liaison for our new and existing clients. Success shall be achieved through successful completion of client deliverables via strong teamwork and client engagement.

Job Duties:

  • Develop scope documents for client projects.
  • Break down projects into milestones.
  • Develop timelines with work back schedules.
  • Develop creative briefs & marketing plans.
  • Understand client expectations and project parameters.
  • Communicate clearly the overall objectives and parameters to creative team.
  • Understand the marketing/social media/creative planning process and implementation.
  • Work with Creative Director and Office Administrator to produce and deliver detailed client proposals and follow up on approvals.
  • Ownership of the following processes.
  • Communicate with client and creative team in a timely manner.
  • Delegate tasks to Spark team and follow up to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support project execution.
  • Brainstorming sessions.
  • Scheduling (shoot days, client meetings etc.)
  • Assist with financial tracking and budgeting of client projects.

Video Production Coordinator

Mission:

To bring to life ideas, campaigns, and strategic initiatives for clients and St. Lawrence College by producing high quality videos.

Job Duties:

  • Develop, pitch and execute creative, compelling stories through video; independently or part of a team.
  • Coordinate event photography and/or videography for Spark and clients
  • Contribute to the development of communication problems solved through video production and animation techniques for external community clients and college departments.
  • Test all equipment to determine technical quality of recording, audio and lighting apparatus prior to operation in the field.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think on your feet as equipment issues arise pre, during and post production.
  • Work with PC and OA to schedule talent, location and resources.
  • Create and apply motion graphics.
  • Light subject(s) and shoot locations under a variety of conditions.
  • Organize, resize and retouch images and video clips as needed.
  • Research and prepare for shoots, stay current with industry trends, developments, and new techniques.
